Who/What We Are?

Sportaerobics is a performance sport wherein athletes showcase artistic choreography in combination with technical skills of varying difficulty in a one minute forty-five second performance. The routine must demonstrate the components of fitness:
Cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, balance, coordination, agility, speed, and power within continuous rhythmic movement patterns.

The Peruvian (NACH) National Sportaerobic Team is a group of high-energy, extremely talented athletes from some clubs and institutions members of ThePROS.ws Sportaerobics Division.

These youngsters have spent the last seven years rigorously training to compete in the National and Youth Sportaerobic national Champs.

Their hard work, dedication and preparation was quite evident as they dominated the competitions in December 2000 as they competed in the first ever "Universitario de Deportes" Aerobic competition bringing home the gold medal; then in important events such as the Open Extreme (NACH) championships Buenos Aires - Argentina
(Oct -2001). and 4th place in the youth division during the world aerobic finals Miami, FL USA August 2003.

By virtue of these achievements, the team now has the honor of representing our country at the World Championships of Sportaerobics, The South American Championships and Open Extreme Sportaerobic Championship series. To compete against the best from all over this planet is almost beyond comprehension. A few of the countries who will be competing are USA, China, France, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Germany,
Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Russia. This is an incredible honor for all those involved in this event.

Purpose Of This Website

First of all, this page is designed to introduce and publicize to the world "The (NACH) National & Youth Peruvian Sportaerobics." This program has been years in the making and for those who are interesting in reading how this group of talented athletes got their beginning you can look at the Regatas Lima Sport Aerobics history site.

Second, being the best in the country and having the shot at being the best in the world does not come cheap. Fundraising was a big part of the team's preparation for the International competition, but those funds raised did little more than pay for outfits, warm-ups, music and other supplies. The majority of travel expenses were borne by the families of the athletes and our organization The PROS.ws Fitness Division.
Now in less than three months, we are looking at total travel expenses in excess of $50,000. This team needs everyone's help! Many different fundraising campaigns are going on and those who contribute will get the recognition deserved. Part of this site will be a listing of those sponsors. If you are interested in supporting the youth in Peru who represent something positive, feel free to contact us.

Lastly, for those who are not fortunate enough to be going to the international events, this site will be updated frequently during the World Competition with current scores, pictures, and any other interesting things that are taking place. We are doing this in hopes that we can keep the world and especially family members and friends informed with up to the minute information. We encourage you to check back often as this site will constantly be updated with new information.
